I wanted to something that looked like a storybook illustration, inspired by this book I got when I was three years old. I still have that book, and it is beautifully illustrated.
I probably wouldn't have finished this if my mother didn't want to see it coloured so badly.
(There's nothing wrong with her, by the way. The exams said that she was fine, and I'm really relieved.)

This girl was originally blonde in my head, but the colouring I made was too lame and I made her a redhead.
I really, really like it... Even though my right arm hurts now. XD

Media: Faber-Castell markers + colour pencils, 0.2 + 0.05 mm Mitsubishi fineliners and a white gel pen.
Time spent: About 8 and a half hours.

This is awesome! I love the coloring . it looks all fairytal-ical..x-x? its so pretty......8 hrs...sheesh! my arm would hurt too.. i dun understand how you can color liek that...I WISH I had pencils that good! >.<

Well, I wasn't really inspired by any story, but I did notice that the girl looks a lot like Fiona from Shrek.
Y'know, redhead, green dress, locked up in a tower. But it wasn't intentional. XD

Aww... Well, I think you can colour like that with any brand of colour pencils. All you need to do is practice a lot until you feel confident with them. (:

Wow you must patients to do each and every brick like that (if that were me I'd cheat and find a brick brush to do it all for me haha)

Ooh, yeah. That makes sense.
But the girl in Rumpelstiltskin was a farmer's daughter, wasn't she? Before becoming a princess?
In fact, Rumpelstiltskin is one of the stories that are published in my storybook. I might do some illustrations for those stories in the future. (:

I'm usually not a patient person, so I don't really know how I didn't freak out, lol. I just made their base colour with a gray marker and shaded them with colour pencils. XDD

Me too. They remind me of Elizabeth or Catalina de Aragon, even though they're post-medieval queens.
In fact, I wish I had been born a redhead. But I'm happy with my black hair, huhu. :3
